Talent Café in Tanjong Pagar

There’s this well-to-do 2-story café at Tras Street that just exudes architectural artistry. It was a double birthday celebration for our buddies a few weeks back, and this was the perfect stopover for that coffee after-sessions. It’s like in one room you’re in a five star hotel, and then you’re in a nightlife bar the next. If you haven’t seen or haven’t been here yet, I’d say the Talent Café in Tanjong Pagar is worth the tryout.

You don’t need to exercise your talent to find this café. The Talent Café is just a stone’s throw away from the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station - a good five minutes of walking.  There’s a huge colorful Talent Café sign embossed on a white wall, so it’s hard not to find it. The best time to go here is during weekend evenings, when everything is lit-up with an air of sophistication and talent. All the regular yuppie locals here can attest to this.

Seven distinctive areas, one good-looking café. The interiors are designed so well, you can’t help but wonder if it really is a café or just that new show room from a magazine. The simplistic yet smart decorations, and the art placed in every room is inspiring. I just couldn’t ask for more out of this ideal state – but good thing, there’s more to this. The prices are actually not that steep either. Reality check? Yes, it’s true. This is why the crowds are purely locals, mostly from the working and classy class, enjoying the place for all its worth – chill, gatherings, alcohol, alfresco, dates, and just all that classy stuff they do.

This café is talented enough to embody the finer things in life, with such ease and reason. It’s within reach for people who understand and prefer art, interiors, and chilling-in-a-cafe all in one sentence. It’s the perfect secret weekend date place, the perfect double-triple birthday celebration venue, and the perfect café to come back for every so often.
