3 BEST REAL Travel Attractions in Dhaka, Bangladesh
Not much has been said about traveling to Bangladesh. Not because it’s difficult to go there, or not because it is quite challenging to get a travel visa to visit. In my case, after traveling to Sri Lanka, India, and Maldives, I found a sense of inspiration and enlightenment in terms of life perspectives. I knew that I still wanted to explore this side of East Asia to see what kind of first and lasting impressions it can imprint on me.

After one failed attempt and another one after that, when an opportunity presented itself, I knew it was time to visit and explore. Opportunity to solo travel to the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. Energetically exciting and surprisingly scary - these two things were the initial impressions that made the whole travel experience to Dhaka an extraordinary one. Three places that you must visit to ignite that spark of inspiration to get to know more about the REAL culture of Dhaka, check these out:

Soon after the Second World War broke out, the British authority felt the need of constructing the Royal Indian Air Force (RIAF) stations in Dhaka. The construction of Tejgaon Airport at a place named Dainodda started in 1941; and the building of a landing strip at Kurmitola (Balurghat) started at about the same time. The airstrips at Tejgaon and Kurmitola had military fighter plane landing facilities and the British Air Force used the airstrips for safe up keeping their aircrafts. There was also an American air force detachment here during the war period. The first RIAF light fighter landed on the under construction runway of Tejgaon at the beginning of 1943 and after development of the airport facilities, it became the first civil airport.
