British Columbia – 11 Steering Asian-Friendly Places in Vancity

British Columbia – Asian-Friendly Places in Vancity
Out of all the travels that I’ve had, one of the most read, albeit the most anticipated places is the land of maple and honey in the Western most side of the world. Canada’s one of the countries that I was looking forward to experience! Probably it’s unconsciously because of being able to hear a lot of nice stories from my friends and relatives living in the US and Canada that makes me want to validate it for myself. Being the very first country to have visited in the Americas region, the Canadian province known as British Columbia left an indelible imprint that makes me want crave to experience living in least cold city of this country. Permanently living there, maybe no, but definitely it’ll be nice to be there for a few short years.

Whether you are a
traveler, an expat, or just looking to immigrate to British Columbia, Canada –
at the bare minimum, you’d definitely want to get an understanding of the
diverse kinds of places of interest that may be of importance to you. If
there’s one thing that I’ve learned after living out of my home country and
moving from one place to another, it is a “must have”
to be at a stone’s throw to places that are interesting to you. This’ll not
only bring
you good emotional states to battle all the homesick vibes, but it’ll also help you easily
adapt and understand the culture you’re living in. So, without further ado,
let me introduce to you the different sites in British Columbia that gave me
all the feels.

The area now occupied
by Canada Place has served as the location for visits from the earliest
explorers, the completion of sawmills, the arrival of the first ships to
provide lumber to world markets, major immigrations from Asia; the completion
of the first transcontinental railway and the arrival of the first train; and
the completion of major shipping terminals to support the economy of Western
Canada. Read

In addition to
providing you with a safe and reliable ride, Vancouver taxi companies ensure
all drivers receive extensive training through the award-winning TaxiHost training
program. Developed in 1996, TaxiHost training includes eight modules ranging
from driving with finesse to advanced customer service and transporting people
with disabilities. All licensed taxis are allowed to drop-off passengers at
YVR, and they will use the meter to determine the fare. If you’re taking a taxi
from the airport to your hotel after arriving at YVR, use one of the taxi
stands located on Level 2. Taxis operating from the airport are licensed, and
will use a zoned fare rate that will depend on your destination. Read more at: https://www.tourismvancouver.com/plan-your-trip/getting-around/getting-to-the-airport/

Daily seaplane service linking downtown
Vancouver’s burgeoning tech sector with downtown Seattle’s massive
tech-industry hub, is ready to take flight starting April 26, say the seaplane
operators who will fly the route. B.C.’s Harbour Air and Seattle’s Kenmore Air
promised the much-anticipated service from Coal Harbour in Vancouver and
Seattle’s Lake Union last fall at the Cascadia Conference, aimed at
strengthening business ties between the cities. The “nerd bird” route promises
daily downtown-to-down service in an hour. “A Seattle to Vancouver flight has
been talked about for decades, and Cascadia finally makes it real,” said
Harbour Air president Randy Wright. “It will be used by tech companies,
tourism, business, (for) sporting events,” Wright said. “There will be lots of
opportunities.” Read more at: https://vancouversun.com/business/local-business/harbour-airs-promised-vancouver-to-seattle-nerd-bird-set-to-take-flight

past mountain peaks, thick forests and crystal clear lakes, the Rocky

One of the oldest churches in Greater Vancouver
is proving to be a good metaphor for Oblate Father “Tap” Kurudeepan’s homilies.
Spiritual renovation is ever a work in progress, and so is St. Paul’s Indian
Catholic Church. “It is a continual cleansing and repairing,” said Father Tap
of both the 134-year-old church and the spiritual life. St. Paul’s began as a
mission church built in 1868 by Squamish First Nations and Oblate missionaries.
In 1884, it was replaced by the current building and named Sacred Heart Church,
then renamed St. Paul’s after extensive construction in 1909. Read more at: https://bccatholic.ca/news/catholic-van/souls-are-works-in-progress-and-so-is-st-pauls-church

Take a 15 minute Sea Bus ride from downtown
Vancouver to this magic place called Lonsdale Quay Market. The market is home to
more than 50 specialty shops, restaurant and a brewery! You can catch a
stunning view of downtown Vancouver from the market. I have been going to the
Sea Bus stop for many years to go to the grouse mountain (look up the Grouse
Grind). I never knew there was a market here. Until one day, my friend told me
about this place. The biggest seller for me was that there is a brewery in the
market. Read
