12.12 Sale: When Cyber Monday Sales Start, Will You Be Ready To Click For Travel?
My inbox earlier this week was flooded with notes about Black Friday, what’s up with that? It’s all about how it ends tonight, or about preview specials, and those extra 20% offs and promo codes when you shop till you drop. So yes, we are already in the festive SALE season, and it’s about time to get ready for a sneak peek of all those Black Fridays and Cyber Mondays specials. But what the heck is this all about? It’s all about the shopping season and if you are like me, who prefers to do the silly last minute gift shopping, and would rather prefer to bank on “experience” as their best gifts, then it’s about time to change your ways and join in the online bargain bandwagon, maybe even purchase like crazy?
If you have heard of it, it’s really worth knowing about this so-called Black Friday, which is an informal name for the day following Thanksgiving Day, which has been regarded as the beginning of the country's Christmas shopping season. In other words, it’s all about deals, sales, and relentless consumption of all things discounted and nice-haves-to-must-haves. It gets celebrated annually, and quite popular in countries like the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Mexico, Romania, India, France, Germany, and even in Asia. Recently, they even came up with Cyber Monday, Cyber Week, and all those super controversial retail sales wins that causes internet chaos the and server issues, once it goes up and running. Good thing though is that every year, it keeps getting better!
This year, something to look forward to is the 12.12 Sale here in Singapore. Singaporeans and Asians, in general, are so smart when it comes to online shopping, because they kind of learned from the advent of Groupons, and QOO10s era; now, they really known their purchases well, especially when it comes to occasions like Singles’ Day, or Black Friday, or even Cyber Monday. They know what to look for, where to look, and which one to catch fast. I am particularly interested to get some good wins from the Best Cyber Monday Deals, since I want to ramp up my bucket list of travel experiences for next year (and yes, maybe for some last minute Christmas gifts?).
