Espresso Lab Turkey: Everything You Probably Need to Know about This Favorite Cafe

Espresso Lab Turkey
My consciousness was aquiver with pleasure the split second I glanced back at this uncanny coffee place known as the Espressolab. You see my dear coffee lovers, in the very heartbeat of Istanbul, the Taksim Square, the Espressolab is a well-made space and is an absolute head turner! Amidst the crowded streets and overpopulated alleys within the area, all I ever wanted to do was to ease my wanderlust and feed my coffee craving. No longer to roam around the streets for some street food or local delicacies was my idea, but to just chill like a villain in this contemporary café. Not only was it flocking with (seemingly yuppie) students, freelance workers, and the rest of the locals, but it also was packed with so much coffee aficionados and foreigners. Who would not want to try it out, right?! Count me in.

This contemporary Turkish coffee heaven is probably the cousin of the Espressolab Singapore, because they are both quality cafes. Nonetheless, if you have so many stores across Turkey, you know you are in good hands. This is probably their local version of the global brand Starbucks, but of better overall quality, in my opinion. They have franchises and branches across Turkey, from Ankara, Etiler, Halic University, Emirgan, Wish More Hotel, Fatih, Sarajevo, and Park Adana to name a few, and their interiors alone are A+ spot on. True to its word as Turkey’s most innovative coffee shop chain, their place offers that hipster vibe that makes you want to hang out for long idle periods of time.

Aside from their food menu, what I really liked the most is the quality of their coffee. The taste selection exude that kind of nippy acidity that is neither neutral nor too bitter; the aroma inside the coffee shop is relaxing enough, with a good mixture of nut-like, chocolate-like, and coffee-like burnt aroma that is obviously addicting, I could stay here all day if only I can because my nostrils and taste buds would be very exultant, obviously. :-)

The perfectionist in me was immediately drawn into the cafe’s crowd. I don’t know if it was just me or it was just that day, but the crowd succeeded to supersede my expectations on what a cool hipster personified hang out place should be like. This domicile has a good balance between quality people and nice selections of conversations. You could hear how they are talking about coffee among many other things, and perhaps I was an eavesdropper during that time, but it was all good. I was a traveler when I visited Istanbul, but I felt at home when I was at their overlooking al fresco corner space on their rooftop café floor. So be sure to bring your coffee craving, but this should definitely be your go to coffee place.
