good old taste and dine via this really stress-free resto and bar – the RUBATO — Italian Kitchen & Bar.
Tucked away at the shophouses of the Jalan Peminpin, this food place transforms into an appetite-catching food and drink go-to favorite. You will be able to sample food from an eclectic mix of local and contemporary styles of cooking, care of the food heroes aka chefs. I found myself here, one early evening and the “empty” place makes you feel like a legit billionaire boss who asked to close the place all for himself.
Rubato Modern Italian Trattoria is indeed this hidden gem among the coffee shops and hawker centers around this side of Singapore. Handmade plates of pasta, freshly baked pizzas, kinds of seafood fares – yes yes yes. But the must-try: Aragosta Cappuccino, Torta Di Cioccolato Fondente, Veal Ravioli with Truffle Porcini Sauce, and of course, this one in the photos, yes?
This makes an afternoon, dinner, or after dinner siesta sessions something to look forward to, especially if you are like me who has a plate full of workload. It’s definitely one of those restaurant + bars that’ll be your preferable go-to place to really truly destress and go for desserts (and food, drinks, and everything). What do you think, good choice indeed? I would say so too, given that TATLER named it as one of "Singapore's Best Restaurants 2014".
