As the saying goes, “a journey of a thousand miles
begins with a single step”. However, if you happen
to be in the heart of Bangkok, a journey of a thousand miles begins in the “a journey café”.
Cafés in Thailand’s
cultural capital seems to be as extensive as their
daily traffic, and with this, it is actually a good thing that there’s “a
journey café” that’s part of it. I decisively found myself rooted there for
half a day, just like most of the Thai locals.
One early morning, I was one of the first customers who came in this modernistic travel-inspired coffee place. This boxed type space has three distinct spaces, with special mention to their second floor. Upon entering the coffee shop that looks like it’s one from the hole-in-the-wall places you’ll find in the United Kingdom, you’ll immediately notice the impressive red divider where all the good stuff are emphasized.
Of course, food and coffee choices are not the only wins here, but also, the comfort ability that this place guarantees. It’s one of those cafes in Bangkok that’s not too crowded and not too commercial. It’s a place that can easily pass as your secret go-to place when you want to spend hours and hours and hours sitting down and enjoying a coffee place, free from all nuances.
A half day past that early morning, I exited the café with all the comfort and confidence I needed for that day. I got the good news I wanted. I got the coffee contentment I needed. I got everything right during that day, all with that single step with a journey café.
