you’re agenda happens to be shopping, and you serendipitously stumble upon a
temple, while walking to a nearby shopping area, then this will most probably
be a temple like the Wat Pathum Wanaram. Why not, yes?
This is the most strategically located temple for tourists and travellers who want to see the best of both worlds. It is located in the district Pathum Wan, between the two shopping malls Siam Paragon and Central World, and across the street of Siam Square. If you’re not observant, you would probably be mistaken into thinking that this is one of the malls around the area!

Founded in 1857 by King Mongkut (Rama IV), this is a place of worship near the Sa Pathum Palace. The full name of the temple is Wat Pathum Wanaram Ratcha Wora Viharn. The spaciousness and simplicity of the temple makes it a go to place for the everyday Thai who would prefer soul over shoes and material stuff. Though the place is not as extravagant and luxurious as the other major temples, this definitely is one of the off beaten ones worth experiencing when in Bangkok, Thailand. Check out these photos!
