A Must Visit in Slovakia: Bratislava’s Old Town Hall is a Place To Make You Smile
A Must Visit in Slovakia
Unbeknownst to all of us, Slovakia’s oldest city hall and
one of the oldest stone buildings still standing in Bratislava is a beautiful sight to behold.
Housing the oldest museum of the city and owning a tower that offers a charming
view on the city center to its visitors, it is a must-see place you should not
miss when visiting Bratislava.
As we were pressed for time, we did not bother to go up
and see the colorful buildings of the Old Town through the view from the inside.
Instead, we roamed around to see the rest of the Old Town, like the Main square
and the Roland’s fountain. Though, I heard that you can have a clear view on
the UFO tower, St. Martin’s Cathedral as well as the castle from the Old Town
Hall.
It’s hard to resist the area around as there is always something going on – markets, concerts, or other types of cultural program. Be on the lookout for some of the statues that you might bump into, literally. You may also want to get your portrait sketched out while basking the full view of the afternoon fountain view of the old town area. It’s a distinct kind of calm, one that you can only exactly pinpoint in Bratislava’s Old Town.
