Quick Singapore Pick: ION Orchard - Ion Sky Observation Deck
ION Orchard - Ion Sky Observation Deck
If you
think you’ve seen all of Singapore’s spectacular city skylines, you might have
missed this one. It’s one of the free and finest almost-hidden gems right along
Orchard Road. I’ve been living a couple of years in Singapore already, and if
it weren’t for our tourist friend who mentioned about this place, I would not
have discovered this anytime soon.
Ion Sky is found
inside the Ion
Orchard mall, which is along Orchard Road,
Singapore’s shopping district. It’s a distinctive 56 levels above kind of
experience, unlike any of the high-viewpoints you can find around this side of
the city. It offers a sweeping panoramic 360 view of the red dot, with state-of-the-art BEHOLDTIM telescopes, the first telescope of its kind in Asia.
There’s even some insider info looks on how Orchard Road used to look like when
it was full of fruit orchards and nutmeg plantations.
Best place for secret unwinding, forever dates, and highlight celebrations, either at the Salt grill & Sky bar, celebrity chef Luke Mangan's restaurant and bar or anywhere around the sky lounge. Best part: admission is free! The observatory is open from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily.
Address: 2 Orchard Turn, Level 56, 238801
