The Reading Room: Singapore’s Local Café + Bar + Resto Well Worth Revisiting

The Reading Room, Outram Park
Actions speak louder than words. This adage is worn out for a very
good reason: it’s true. And even for lawyers, who are very good with words,
taking rightful actions are even more powerful. Take for instance the very
antagonistic protagonist Annalise Keating,
or the very ultra alpha Harvey Specter. But,
in real life, such is Jake Folkoff from Singapore.

Jake is this unruffled bibliophile lawyer-turned-entrepreneur. He has originally set his eyes for a life of a lawyer in Singapore; but later on, he took the giant leap of faith from the board room to the reading room, when he decided to go full throttle with his rousing dream. He is the owner of The Reading Room, a café - bar - resto in Outram Park. He came up with an intellectually cool and timeless hangout place, good for anytime, any occasion, anything fit for a bibliotheca setting.

“Food is a soul of a café”, as Jake would put it, and true to his words, the skill and accuracy of the food and drinks are total killers – you will be sentenced for a life of addiction when you try their signatures. It may look like a room full of books, but if you’re a regular of this place, it becomes more like a room full of stories. Must try: Trr’s fluffy portobello omelette, deep fried mushrooms, tiger prawns in olive oil, steak and eggs, Himalayan salt coffee.
I am in no way a coffee expert, but I am taking rightful action to come up with these words worthy of such sanction. The Reading Room is not all about daily inspirations, but more so on the total customer service and experience you are guaranteed to get from trying out this place. No wonder they have a lot of regulars, be it for special events, meet ups, hang outs, and all night diaspora.
