Blossom Beats Floral Display: Singapore’s Own Cherry Blossoms Festival

Blossom Beats Floral Display: Singapore’s Own Cherry Blossoms Festival
Finally, South East
Asians can now witness cherry
blossoms in full bloom, and no it is not in South Korea, or in Japan. It’s here in
Singapore. The
Singapore government has heard its people’s cries for some cherry blossom
experience. More than twenty varieties of cherry blossoms are included in this
year’s “Blossom Beats”
at the Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay.
This experimental
floral display is expected to run only until March 27, 2016 and these are real
life sakura flowers. They are open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday, and if you
are like me who’s seen these head turners in full bloom in broad daylight – catch it on a uniquely impressive experience – at night. It’s more
beautiful at night, yes. What a beauty!

Interesting enough, Singapore has
styled the setting after a traditional Japanese garden featuring classic
Japanese features like tori gates and kimonos. A must see: Prunus Genpei
Shidare - flowers of two different colours – red and white – growing on the
same plant. #BLOSSOMBEATS
Address: Flower Dome
Schedule: Fri, 11 Mar 2016 - Sun, 27
Mar 2016, 9 A.M. - 9 P.M.
