Visiting Scotland for the Very First Time

I would be lying if I said that my mind didn’t feel any amount of fatigue when we were about to reach Scotland. There were moments, especially since there are so many things to think about, so many things to attend to, and so many blahs to hear about. It was the last stop in this epic United Kingdom journey – saving the best for last? We shall see, said my aching head.

But that’s the thing about travel, no matter how exhausted you are, it still is that single most definitive bankable source of inspiration, relaxation, and reset button. The second our plane landed in Edinburgh, Scotland, it’s reset times infinity points.

This is one of my most favorite cities to visit in Europe to date. Still is. It has this air of confidence in it that begs to be idolized, explored, and opened – now I know why JK Rowling likes this city so much. It has this good mix of urban villages, old town looking streets, quirky shops, hole in the wall nooks, and supernatural panoramas of hills and seas. Fact: Edinburgh's Old Town and New Town together are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – translation: really nice. Join me as I exhaust photo and posts kind of made-for-it travel series on Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Scotland as a whole – from sights, castles, cemeteries, and interesting finds. Would you get all pumped up to write a book if you’re in a city like this?

  1. Last month, we visited Scotland. I was 20 days tour. The landscape of Scotland is absolutely breathtaking. Our family tour was very fun and engaging en Loch Ness was so impressive! Our tour guide, Mark, made the long, long trip a lot enough bearable with some interesting stories. Hope to visit there again. Happy tour! Cheers ~ James Fox from morar
