Retrolicious 2015 Concert: Tommy Page Recap - When The World Is Gone, You Have My Shoulder To Cry On
Retrolicious 2015 Singapore : Tommy Page
Thanks to Matthew for the invite!
Who-the-man? You-the-man, Tommy Page! This American
singer, best known for his 1990 hit single, "I'll
Be Your Everything" serenaded Singapore with
his handpicked songs for everyone to revel in. Not really that familiar with
any of Tommy
Page’s songs, but the charisma of the song lyrics
overcasting from all curves of the concert grounds were evident. The foxy lady
beside me had all the indication of a pro-fan girl: excessive hand waving and
gawking and singing her heart out. Just awesome!

The stage served as a platform to share a whole lot about what’s
been going on with his life all these years, from his first album being having
been released in Singapore down to details like writing a song about South East
Asia. This cool dad was very candid with the audience about how he still sings
to his 6 year old daughter. He even brought in another music talent, Cheesa from The Voice USA
doing a nice-and-easy duet song number.

Second act in the Retrolicious 2015 concert.
A lot of cheesy punchlines were thrown out in the air, which made the whole female
fandom even crazier that night. Now I have proof that kneeling in front of the
piano works! Would remember to use these lines to make the ladies out there get
that same effect as Tommy Page. Time to bask in the glory of lyric masterpiece!

Side by side with you till the end, I'll
always be the one to firmly hold your hand

No matter what is said or done, our love will
always continue on

Now that we're together at last, we shouldn't think about our problems in the past

'Cause
true love takes a miracle to find

I guess
that I've been blessed, 'cause I've got you by my side

I remember looking in your eyes, I loved that
most, those were the times

Heaven never seemed so close

Faded memories of another place and time

We were happy as can be, you were loving me and
now it's just an image that I find, like the paintings in my mind

I never thought I'd ever need someone as much as I need you

If I
could ride in a time machine to a million years from now, when I'd land I'd
find us there still together somehow

Empty space inside been gone ever since we
met

I don't see shadows when your light is on
