Generator Hostel London Review: Russell Square
Generator Hostel London Review: Russell Square
Agoda and Tripadvisor,
you guys are the almighty demi gods when it comes to travel accommodation
listings! The second I planned out a hostel escapade in the United Kingdom, I found one best
hostels I’ve ever been to in these two sites. The Generator Hostel London in
Tavistock Place, Russell Square happens to be one the grooviest hostels I ever
come across, it’s a good add-on experience when you’re visiting London city and
you like to have that sort of backpacking in a first-world kind of familiarity.
From the Heathrow Airport down, the
black cab took us in the middle of the map, right beside busy streets and
interesting alleys. The Generator Hostel
London is private enough to have its own place and public enough have it
blended into the whole London city crowd area.

The check-in process is a synch. Without delay,
we were mazing around the corridors upon corridors of this huge hostel. And by
huge, I mean five floors of intense corridors. Every floor is modern
minimalist English-inspired and color coordinated. The facilities are
complete – hairdryer, no bedbugs, unlimited use of free wifi. Their common
bathrooms are bloody brilliant - clean, efficient, and private. Refurbished
cinema, café, a bar area, laundry, security store rooms, and a hungry-efficient
kitchen – all check – &&&
live music, DJ’s, art collaborations and must-go hostel events featuring the
best local talents – all check. You’ll see all age limits and race
specifics in almost every corner; it’s a multicultural madness of cool.

You’ll even get to experience some sort of
affordable luxury in their shared rooms and private twins. It’s like a hotel staycation, but at a
tolerable damage in your pocket. You can throw in a party inside the
room ‘cos it’s that sociable. Clean sheets, sizable space, and most
importantly, very secure. The lockers under the beds provide lots of
storage. Sleep quality is a five out of five rating for me!
The Generator Hostel London is a good
recommendation for big young and yuppie groups, families of all ages (yes, we
saw a bunch of white-haired folks enjoying the young crowd haha), couples,
soloists, and even business people, why not. Next London Trip? Would stay here again - guaranteed great location,
great modern hostel, and great vibe!
