You’re around the Buona Vista and One North
areas, and you’re kinda in the mood for some American-Western burgers, the Bodacious
Bar & Bistro at Biopolis is the
latest cafe and bar in Singapore you should visit. It’s tucked away in the middle of high rise
exclusive buildings, so you are guaranteed to have that good after-office work
mood you just need. It happens to offer signature mocktails, good beers, and
wine housepours too, yes indeed.
From the Buona Vista MRT Line, it’s roughly
fifteen minutes of “hiking”. If you’ve been around this area, you’d notice the
uneven sloppy walkways going up, and down, and center. The Bodacious Bar is at
a corner lot that’s near the Long Black Café, the Raj resto, the P&G
Innovation Centre. The bar and bistro opens around 10:00 AM, but
it’s best to visit evening time as the place gets lit up pretty good, you’d
think you’re in a new American TV comedy series of some sort, where people just
chill over drinks and humor! HAHA. LMAO.
Couldn’t imagine a better happy hour weeknight
than how Bodacious Bar & Bistro looks like in this side of town. It has the
best bistro and best bar food kind of signature style that you can notice
easily. The bar is not too packed and not horrifically empty either. Reminds
you of the modern bars you can find in the UK. The bar scene is spacious and
chill-friendly. There’s a good mix of locals, expats, and execs, all indulging
in a whole lot of magic hat drinks and mainly-for-me burgers. Must try:
Fatty Duck Confit, Grandmas Seafood Stew, Eggs Benedict, Truffle Fries, Magic
Hats.
Could easily find myself picking this place if I’m gunning for a sure hit after-office night out hangout place. Not only do they serve nice freshly brewed coffee, tea mocktails, and craft beers, they also have food fares that are easy to eat and easy to share. Recommended for: big group buddies, evening interviews, and hanging out with big bosses.
