Think You Want To Learn Music Now? The Eighth Note Music School Will Show You If You’re Right
The Eighth Note Music School Experience
Once upon a time, in a not so long
ago state of mind, we all wanted to learn
musical instruments. Well, we all think it’s cool, it’s fun, it’s something
everyone should do. And yes, it is true – it’s cool, fun, and in many ways,
it’s essential – it gives balance to the whole life of color that we all aspire
to have.
… And it’s like a sport too – it’s
about teamwork, about strategy, and about patience. You can’t just learn music
for the sole purpose of enjoying it all to yourself – there’s got to be
something else – like how musicians, and bands, and singers, and all the
animals who invented music!
(okay, rambling…)
But I think you agree too, right?
Learning musical instruments is best enjoyed with teachers,
friends, and folks around you to help you out.
So here’s a rundown on how it’s like to learn in a music school if
you’re an adult who wants to learn musical instruments. The Eighth Note Music School
experience taught me a great deal about that. It’s cool, fun, and in many ways,
essential.
Learning How to Play the Guitar
So have you always wanted to play guitar, but never got around to
getting started?
At The Eighth Note, the pacing is
perfectly tailorfitted to one’s learning curve. I never thought it will be this
easy to learn about frets, scales, strings, minor chords, and strumming
patterns in a quick and comfortable way. They even will share some finger-picking techniques that are so
so so wicked, you’d just want to learn everything right there and then. Learning
how to play the guitar is all about teamwork, muscle memory, and persistence.
It’s also probably about the good band-vocalist-and-music-teacher
who helped me get things right in an hour or two.

Learning How to Play the Ukulele
The Uke!
This is the easiest string
instrument to learn, and you can learn it and be an expert in maybe a month of
full dedication. Yes to blood, sweat, tears, and sleepless nights. Who wouldn’t
want to be the next Adam Sandlers in the Fifty First Dates when he played
the ukulele? Yes, everyone says yes. At The Eighth Note, switching between
chords and all the beginners techniques are taught in a very fun and
informative way – anyone can be a Jake Shimabukuro in no time!

can! #sofastlah #eagerbeaver #cantwait
Learning How to Play the Drums
I work in an office that involves a
lot of stressful firefighting coordination, project management, and
multi-tasking, but no one ever told me
that coordination in learning how to play the drums is hard..er. This is
probably the hardest to learn in all of the musical instruments that I’ve
tried, which is why it’s even better to learn it in a school such as The Eighth
Note. Yes, you can learn everything in one afternoon or so, but it can take
months or years of practice to master it – which is why it’s one of the most in
demand instruments in the world.
Learning it will be worth it.

Learning How to Play the Keyboard
The most delicate and dramatic
musical instrument of all – anyone can get lost in the charisma that the
keyboard music brings. I think it’s one of the easiest musical instruments to
learn, at least the basics part, and if you’re a beginner and you got your “A”
game with you, you can learn how to do some finger acrobatics in the black and
white keys like a pro. You can do a Beatles song from stanza 1 to chorus in
less than an hour, I can guarantee you that The Eighth Note can give you that!

genius in a different perspective, piano music is for you. #easierthandrums

The Eighth Note Music School Experience
Sitting inside a room for one hour
or so, learning from a music mentor who’s not only a friend but a supporter,
and finding out something new about how talented you are, is a good deal if you
ask me.
It’s a unique joyride.
It’s cool, fun, and definitely
essential, especially if you’re too used to the current work-life-balance that
you guys have as an adult. It’s shaking things up and learning a different side
of you that is waiting to be discovered.
But before we end, let me play a tune for you, take you
pick – guitar, uke, drums, or keyboard?
