First Look: Himalayan Mountain Range and Everest Aerial View in Kathmandu, Nepal
Himalaya Mountain Ranges and Everest Aerial View
Alas, an
end of a travel series – we meet again.
Kathmandu
is a see-you-around for now, but I admit, I never imagined how much I’ll enjoy
and take honor in being able to see such city. There’s still so much to explore
and discover about Kathmandu,
Nepal, and now I somewhat understand the depth of liking of so many
travelers for Nepal.
Heard of
the phrase “Only as good as your last success”?
Heard this from my friend 10 years ago, and it stuck with me until now. Every
time I am reminded of the enjoyment that is in the “now”, I get a quote
flashback! Yes, and I agree with it. Every endeavor should be looked at this
way. Whatever it is, whatever the cost.
Sooooo
what does this deep nonsense got to do with this post? LOL.
Okay, so maybe the
Nepal travel that happened completely changed my outlook towards travel and I
really don’t have any clue how I can top that from here! I know everyone has
preferences when it comes to travel, some prefer the luxurious ones, others the
adventurous, mine is kind of middle ground but more on the budget-friendly side
of things…
Okay, but still rambling here, sorry.
Okay
seriously, Nepal travel shouldn’t and couldn’t be complete without any form of
adventurous, yet affordable, luxury that is the Flight
to the Himalayan Mountain Range. How can anyone top this kind of view,
literally and figuratively speaking? It’s Mount Everest for crying out loud! *cue Himalayan avalanche*
6:00 and
one Nepalese sunrise later, we were whisked away in a small plane where everyone
is settled in the window seat. The view of Kathmandu city from the other side,
while the view of the Himalayas mountain range on the other one.
The view
of a historic city being zoomed out is quite a story to enjoy; the orange
bricks slowly faded into blue hues and white clouds.
And all that’s left is the looming White Mountain tips of the Himalayas.
You hear the plane engine roar with you in anticipation.
It’s a weirdly exciting mood and you can see it on everyone’s face.

We were
asked, one by one, taking turns, to approach the cockpit to see the tip of the
Mount Everest, 35000+ feet above sea level, and maybe another 3000+ meters away
from our plane.
I don’t know if it were tears from my eyes or the sunlight’s sunny expression that made the tip of the Mount Everest glow.
It looked like it’s twinkling in the morning.
Or maybe I was crying like Barney Stinson being too overly dramatic, maybe that too.
But that’s a BIG FAT MAYBE.

So now, you might know it from me, and hope it will stick with you.
Be reminded of the enjoyment that is in the “now”, get a quote flashback!
Whatever it is, whatever the cost – find a way to have your BIG FAT Mount Everest moment! :)
