When You Trick Yourself in the Alive Museum - Seoul Version

When You Trick Yourself in the Alive Museum, Insadong
Singapore just opened its own Alive Museum and Trick Art Museum in Sentosa. It created quite a hubbub to everyone who wanted to see something new and tricky here in Singapore. Everyone enjoys being tricked once in a while, yes? But, I wouldn’t mind either if it’s Alive. These two 3D museums are as good as the Madame Tussauds out there. But, wait, sorry about that, this will neither be the newest museum in Singapore nor will it be about Tussauds. Let’s stick to Seoul and focus on Insadong’s version of the Alive Museum and Trick Art. We are all fans of Korean culture, yes?

The Alive Museum and Trick Eye Museum in Insadong is just inside the shopping complex. Easily reachable via Line 1 Jonggak Stn. Exit 3 - go straight for 300m on the left side, or via Line 3 Anguk Stn. Exit 6 - go straight for 150m on the one-way road. It’s a good ten minute walk from the subway. The best time to go here is during the start of its opening hours. The place can be too packed with people, and you might need to queue just to take pictures of some of the optical illusions.

True to its claim, this museum is one of the largest “fun” exhibitions you’ll ever find in the whole of Seoul. It’s like a science, art, math, and all the kinds of exhibitions broods would love. Surprisingly though, all you’ll see here are couples and big fun groups of adults enjoying and messing around with fun and imagination.

Must watch-outs here are the Circus Act animation, the Marilyn Monroe trick, and the Cannonball inversion. I say it should be forbidden to forget your cameras here, because you should take some photos with you and trick yourself once in a while when looking at thy pictures! If it were I, I’d say everyone must go to the Alive Museum, Insadong, Seoul before trying out the one in Singapore. The place is recommended for family adventures, group buildings, and couple connections. It’s not for comparison’s sake, but more on the appreciation side of things. Both have different and new arts that are not available in either ones. You just know you have to see both!
Opening Hours: 09:00 A.M ~ 10:30 P.M.
Admission Fees: Adults - 12,000 KRW, Teens - 11,000 KRW, Children - 10,000 KRW
