How Does Athens Look Like from this Lens?
Same lens, different filter.
Going all B&W here, no more pensive low saturation pictures for now. Hah. Maybe Greece just calls for this kind of photo style, don’t you think so?
Yes, LOOOOOOOONG AGO color was out and classic monochrome was pretty much the best deal there was out there when it came to photo perfection, and I kinda think it still is. There is so much charisma in this simplicity. So much class that’s way beyond the photoshopped colors and high contrast filters.
Nowadays, it’s too much to see all the unrealistic perfectly colored photos of places. Some are accurate, but most often – they aren’t, and it isn’t because our vision is no longer 20-20, but it’s just too far off from its original color. B&Ws, on the other hand, can take your imagination into different levels of hype and magic.
Athens is such a beautiful disaster… in a ruins kind of way.
It’s one of the most attention-grabbing cities to visit when in Europe, and this ageless marble city won’t disappoint with the number of historic spots that you can and must see. There’s too much Greek alphabet that’s too fancy to look at. There are too many shingles and stepping stones to see that’s too fascinating to dig in. And even without color, you can see the immediate influence it has on your appreciation for it.
Let these B&W tell my story for you - how does Athens look like from this lens?
