Namnam Comfort Filipino Food in Metro Manila
Namnam Comfort Filipino Food in Makati
No matter how much I’m very used to Filipino food, I don’t find shame
when I still crave for it. Nowadays, it’s much different and much heightened,
since here in SG, it’s all about profusion of noodles, laksas, and chillis.
Rarely will you find a good Filipino restaurant around the city that’s close to
how it tastes back home. So when I went back to Manila last month, the first
thing on my food-fight list: Filipino
food. Namnam
Comfort Filipino Food is the best choice for these wild pangs of kare-kare, sisig,
and all the good Filipino cuisines.
If in Manila, it’s easy to bring expat
friends, balikbayan buddies, or even tourists who are interested to try
authentic Filipino food here. It’s located at the city’s shopping nucleus – Greenbelt.
So after stroll and shop around the illustrious hallways of Ayala area, the stop
of all stops will be the Namnam Comfort Filipino food. It’s along the Novu, Spicy
Fingers, and Italianni’s
Restaurant area, and it’s one of the newest restaurants around the
zone.
If it weren’t for the awesome graphics on their signboard, can’t
immediately assume that it’s a Filipino restaurant. It looks like a modern retail
shop from the outside, all black and window-filled. Once you enter the inside
of the restaurant, it completely brings you back to the Filipino way of things
– everything is cool and hospitable. The interiors are good. Looks simple, but
if you look closely, you’ll see that the design is well thought of. Sure caters
to the Filipino way of dining. The place can be setup for groups of people who
would like to have a feast over lunch and dinner sessions.
The highlights are the varieties of foods and the types of servings you can choose from. They offer Small, Medium, and Large servings, which are perfect for feasting. They offer every celebrated Filipino food known to us and they also have more than a few new concoctions of their own. I grew up with Jollibee, Max Restaurant, and Kamayan as the signature Filipino staple restaurants to try. But now, there’s this. It’s good that there’s this brilliant owner who made this available to us. And, it puts Filipino food to a secure level of satisfaction.
