Though this is a multi-cultural city, almost everyone from all races respects and celebrates Christmas. Singaporeans are having different kinds of Christmas interpretations, be it from a Chinese, Malay, Indian, or even Eurasian celebrations. Traditional Christmas mixed with culture sure is awesome. The most convenient route possible: via taxi. Of course, that’s a complete sham, cos the realistic option is via the nearest MRT station, Raffles. But knowing people who would normally come here, all dressed up and noble-looking, the MRT fragrance and the stresses of train commutes might affect your nobility. #firstworldproblems. Dang it, that was shallow. But kidding aside, for the love of five star hotels and mafia looking dress ups, pick the best route that will not only make your whole festive experience memorable, but that will also make you comfortable and confident, be it by taxi, by MRT, or by foot.

If you’ve heard about luxury hotels, I’m sure Fullerton rings a bell. The whole interior-exterior extravagance ratio is just off the charts, and this world-renowned hotel has been a part of Singapore’s iconic landmarks for as long as I can remember. Jade restaurant transcends the hotel’s extravagance through the choice of silver and gold linings seen across everywhere. The place has huge towering windows, wide reaching carpets, and kingly chairs to appreciate. It is true when they said that it is a setting of exquisite elegance, and being here during big festivities, such as Christmas, is indeed excellent.

It’s a Chinese fine dining experience almost unlike any other, considering all the dim sum gourmet treats provided by notable master chefs of Singapore. They offer special beverages, such as Epernay and Chardonay, dim sums, such as deep-fried taro paste wrapped with truffles, poached shrimp wantons, tossed jelly fish, and grill stewed lamb loins. One of the best brunch experiences you’ll ever hope to experience.

Food feasts are always a great excuse to get fat. The Jade Restaurant in Fullerton Hotel helps give emphasis to this point, by going all out with their excellent dim sum gourmets. Chinese foods are always good, always an all-time favorite. And to have it in such a special place, a special occasion, is a celebration worth having once in a while.
