More and more, this red dot proves that there are a handful of good café finds here, and without question, Wimbly Lu’s Chocolate Café fancy is one of them. I always thought that quality chocolates and elaborate coffee choices would only remain as an idea, because chocolates are normally infused elsewhere. But, to actually have chocolates as the main highlight? Do I hear Truffles? Do I hear Eclairs? Well certainly, Wimbly Lu is the absolute choice for this side of café quirk.
The location of Wimbly Lu is both good and bad. Good because it perfectly personifies that quaint “wimbly” sense, knowing that the interiors, exteriors, and location are all out attractive. This reason alone makes it worth the visit. On the other hand, it’s bad in the sense that it is not that accessible compared to other quaint cafes out there. It is around 15 minutes of searching from the nearest MRT station and it is tucked inside layers of residential streets. #firstworldprobs
Hanging out with important people in your life over chocolates and coffees are one of the priceless things you may want to have. This is why Wimbly Lu is here. For those kinds of ordinary yet extraordinary moments in time. The place is as vintage as a postcard: maroon bricks, well-lit ridges, cozy chocolates and an overall fun-spirited ambiance, you can spend a full half-day without knowing it was that long already.
The aquarium type working area where you see how the desserts are being fashioned from nothing is one of the favorite picks, I’d say. To see how the people working here meticulously prepares every dessert, with much gusto and attention to detail, makes the dessert and coffee even more exciting to look forward to.
