Singapore Photo Essay: National Day Parade
Singapore Photo Essay: National Day Parade
Thanks to Singapore’s National
Day Parade, today is a holiday! Holidays in Singapore are rather scarce
compared to other Asian countries, so this is really a BIG deal for most people
here. Four full days of no work and just commemorating the independence and
formative years of Singapore. A chance to explore the rest of the red dot.
In less than fifty years of Independence and hard work, Singapore has certainly gone a long way. From achieving diversity and inclusion to building an excellent system that caters to safety, cleanliness, and orderliness, this country is just admirable. This photo essay here is on the celebration from two years ago (year 2011). The Singapore skyline beats with vitality and dynamism from people who are all out in celebrating their freedom. Who says Singaporeans are emotionless? Certainly, these pictures would beg to differ to that opinion. Happy 48th Birthday, Singapura!
