Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur
There are so many things that we have yet to discover about Kuala Lumpur. But in the meantime, it’s a good thing that we have Batu Caves to see and experience. This is one of the attractions in Kuala Lumpur that’s an all time travel favorite and you’ll see why.

Getting there is fairly easy. Either Taxi or Tourist buses are the best options as they are hassle free and guaranteed to reach on time. There are no bus stops in the very front of the place so best to go with these two options. Once you reach the place, you’ll immediately notice the Batu Cave’s statue which is golden and monumental. Of course aside from that there are so many things to grasp: temples, history, monkeys, and people. Yes, monkeys and local birds flock the area so diligently, the place looks busy even if there are a few people within the area. Monkey fest.

Next thing to notice: stairs. 272 steps! It’s a long way up to the caves. Convient? Maybe. You’ll see. But the stairs allow people to rest, take pictures, and appreciate the whole area from different levels of views. Once up, there’s no turning back: Cave man mode ON. Inside the cave, aside from all things KL / MY, you’ll still find the real essence of the Batu Caves. Translation: Smells like a cave that took a bath. Haha. Clean and cold. But seriously, Batu Caves is a limestone hill comprising of three major caves. So definitely, the cave smells a little complex. But, it sure is beautiful. Now, the highlight would be the lighting inside the cave. It just brings enough inspiration and happiness. Indeed, the Batu Caves Temple history is written in the very experience you’ll get from the place indeed. No need for elaborate history, just seeing the statues, feeling the cave, and engaging with locals are more than enough. Batu caves photo ops!
