7 Glowing Park Areas in British Columbia You'll Want to Traverse In
At a time like this, a quarantined locked-down and circuit-broken type of situation seem to be one of the biggest challenges we all face (next to the coronavirus). It’s keeping your sanity while staying at home, right? Especially for people who couldn’t identify themselves as home buddies or introverts, or just outright soloists.

Yet, even if it’s the same situation in Singapore, one of the simple yet nicest things about living here is that you can still step out of the house and do your daily walks around the community parks. Ahhh a good time to be cautious yes, but also a good time to get out of your house. And of course, we all need a bit of exercise here and there, right?

At a time like this, I am reminded of the times spent in these points of interest across British Columbia. The parks that you’ll find at British Columbia are truly special, no matter what season. I am hopeful that once this “season” is over, a visit to one of these parks can be done soon. Let’s wish each other good luck! In the meantime, stay safe and enjoy exploring online.

Butchard Gardens
Address: 800 Benvenuto Ave, Brentwood Bay, BC V8M 1J8, Canada

Isn’t this dreamy? Like every part of the gardens it was like inspiration for our own garden! Here is the sunken garden, so gorgeous. We took a private boat tour through the harbor (private because we got it at the end of the day and it was just the two of us which was perfect!) and was told by our captain the history of Victoria and Butchart Gardens was actually a private family owned garden, but guess what it was before it turned into a garden? I bought some seeds, well a lot of seeds of course from the gift shop. I have to wait until next spring to plant them, oh patience! But it’s OK, it’ll be something to look forward to. Third Beach at Stanley Park
Address: Vancouver, BC V6G 1Z4, Canada

There's a reason why Stanley Park was named the "top park in the world" by TripAdvisor. Containing over 27km of trails through rainforest, an unparalleled 8.8km seawall, sandy beaches, First Nations totem poles, plenty of wildlife, a public swimming pool, the Vancouver Aquarium, sports facilities, and several dining options make this huge public park hard to beat. If you're like me, you'll find yourself returning again and again to enjoy the natural beauty found here. A trip to Vancouver isn't truly complete without exploring Stanley Park. Kitsilano Park
Address: 1499 Arbutus St, Vancouver, BC V6J 5N2, Canada

Yaletown may have a lock on "Most Likely to Succeed," but Kitsilano is a serious competitor for Vancouver's "Most Popular" neighbourhood.  Even if you don't live in Kits-as it's called locally-you go to Kits. You go to Kits Beach, to Kits Pool, to the museums in Vanier Park, to West 4th Ave to shop and eat. If you're lucky enough to live in Kits, you get to enjoy all this-plus the fabulous location bonus of being minutes from downtown or UBC-all within an easy distance of your front door. Seawall at Stanley Park
Address: Vancouver, BC V6G 1Z4, Canada

There’s a reason why Stanley Park is one of the top tourist attractions in Vancouver – it’s absolutely beautiful. But even though this park attracts a lot of tourists, locals love it just as much. Paved trails run along the seawall offering magnificent views of the water, while inner trails go through the lush forest. Whether you’re looking to explore the park like a local by putting on some running shoes and going for a jog or just taking in the local attractions, Stanley Park is a great place to go for a day of fun and adventure. Beacon Hill Park in Victoria
Address: 100 Cook St, Victoria, BC, Canada

Make sure you have your walking shoes because Beacon Hill Park is 200 acres, which is about 1/4 of the size of Central Park in New York city. As Victoria locals ourselves, we often see people standing outside the perimeter of the park, confused, not sure what to do. That is why we made this video, to give our friends who are visiting from out of town an idea of how to #1 walk through the park and #2 what landmarks you might want to check of your list as you walk through the park. Brockton Point and Lighthouse at Stanley Park
Address: Vancouver, BC V6G 1Z4, Canada

After breakfast, we headed to Stanley Park. If you don’t already know, Stanley Park is the #1 attraction in Vancouver. It’s a 1,000 acre park that is almost entirely surrounded by water and offers views of downtown Vancouver and nature. It has a trail around the perimeter, trails through the lush forest, totem poles, beaches, and even the Vancouver Aquarium. Our initial plan was to ride a bike around the perimeter, but since it was such a rainy day, we thought walking might be the better option. We grabbed our umbrellas and rain jackets and started on our way. The first mile was awesome. The view of the Vancouver skyline was great and the rain made it feel so peaceful and added an extra charm to the walk. Read more at: https://www.pandatrot.com/vancouver-stanley-park/

Indian Totem Poles at Stanley Park
Address: Vancouver, BC V6G 1Z4, Canada

If you walk around 15 minutes east from the Water Park, you will come to Brockton Point and the First Nations’ Totem Poles. This is an outdoor collection of Totem Poles and art produced by a number of different First Nations groups that live all over British Columbia. It is a free exhibition and open all year round. This is a magnificent introduction to First Nations art and culture. I highly recommend spending time admiring their craftsmanship.
