September 2018: Newly Visited Nearby Cafes & Bars in Singapore
Please wake up before September ends, will you? September is the official ninth month of the year, and although Green Day is probably more obsessed with this month than any other band out there, I assure you that you can also share the obsession and hype through these nearby places. Nobody really knows what would be your preference when you crave for something, it varies depending on the time of the day, but you’ll be happy to know that there are a lot of nicely inexpensive neighboring cafes, restaurants, hangout places, and bars in Singapore to discover this September. Whether it’s for some simple coffees and cafes, or a restaurant and bar hideout, it’s great to know that you can rely on these picks for you.  For the month of September, here are the places I recommend for you to try and enjoy!

Aside from the vibrant rainbow that runs across one side of the wall, fairy lights and the ice-cream cone hanging lights, the rest were less impressionable. Whatever the case, those who have been following my blog would know I don't care about decorations and am more particular with the taste of the food and the price. Take your pick of ice cream with over flavours (for example, mint, oreo, sea salt malt, tropical sorbet, raspberry sorbet, honey lemon, cookies and cream, milo, Thai milk tea, coffee, strawberry, vanilla, lavender, malted cheese, milky chocolate, salted caramel, hazelnut etc)! Now the highlight – Signature Char Siew ($6 per 100g / min 300g) which took the brothers a year to perfect. With a balance in the lean and fat ratio, the meat goes through a three-stage cooking process to retain its moisture and tenderness. Their Char Siew is relatively smaller in size but has a meltingly soft texture. When served, you see that glistering layer of skin smiling at you. Put a slice in, the first taste is that sticky texture with a pleasant sweetness. Read more at: https://www.misstamchiak.com/char/

This very simple and quite cheap ($38++) high tea buffet was just right for me. They don't feature expensive seafood, which I don't eat. But they do have very good laksa, chicken rice, nasi lemak, mee rebus and prata. The pandan chicken was the highlight for me. Slightly spicy chicken thigh with the fragrance of pandan, I went back for seconds and thirds. Sandwiches were nice too. Read more at: https://www.burpple.com/the-orchard-cafe-orchard-hotel

We are pleased to inform you that our famed Changi Village has a new kid on the block. Seemed like the stretch was never satisfied with the rows and rows of eateries; made available to commuters who took the time to travel into the “east-est” corner of Singapore. The new kid is not relatively new in the industry but a force to be reckoned with. And with that force, we would like to introduce you to ANDES by Astons. The Community Cafe
Address: 14 Scotts Road #02-94 Far East Plaza, 228213
Opening Hours: Mon – Fri 9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. Sat 10:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

Nearest MRT: Orchard

The Community Coffee is the latest addition to Far East Plaza; a mall that carries a unique tenant mix with shops that would attract those whom are on a slightly tighter budget. The interior is renovated in an industrial style — dimly lit, with concrete walls and flooring, bare ceilings and neon lighting on one side of the wall. The furnishings are also pretty spartan, with the entire order preparation area left open in full view from the seating area. The cafe is well-sized, considering how The Community Cafe serves only hot/cold coffee with no hot food nor pastries available — a place that suits coffee junkies.
