The only way to come full circle with the Midnight Sun level of extraordinary Tromsø experience is to ALSO have a great accommodation to try out. This would be possible with 2018 TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice accommodation in Norway known as the Comfort Hotel® Xpress Tromsø. The second I set my eyes on this smart-looking hotel is when I knew it’s going to be an absolute stress-free and chill-full of lounging and resting here. The lobby alone spoke volumes as to how cool and contemporary the place is. Literally just a few steps from the main street, and some awesome alleys in between, the overall vibe of the hotel is that it’s somewhere you really won’t mind spending the day and night in. You are guaranteed to enjoy a complete relaxing stay without much fuss about your itinerary or what have you – just stay in and enjoy the place.

“Trite” will never be a word you would want to describe the rooms here in the Comfort Hotel Xpress Tromsø. All of their standard rooms have free WiFI, whether it’s a Standard Single, Standard 2 Single Beds, or Standard Double beds. The stylish rooms contain everything you can imagine as necessities – the beds, the desk, the chair, the flat screen TV are all styled in a way that looks current and comfortable. The Bathroom has of course all the nice-ities and it looks very well cleaned, which is important. The BIG plus point for me, maybe because I haven’t had that much experience is the view outside the window. Imagine swiping your window curtains to the either side, just to see a magnificent view of the snowcapped mountains? What an absolute beaut! Maybe, I should try to do more staycation experiences in Tromsø, because this one aspect of the Comfort Hotel Xpress Tromsø, made me appreciate it even more.

Aside from Xpress breakfast, where you can purchase delicious breakfast choices at their lobby shop, they also have an actual lobby shop where you can buy drinks, salads, snacks, and a whole lot of stuffs that can be useful when you are traveling. Plus points for them, because they have a Self-service check-in and they also offer late check-out / early check-in combos! What I really like are their discounts, of course. They have special offers that you can avail if you know where to look (read: look here instead yes). During the nights when we had to stay up pretty late (hoping to catch the Northern Lights), we were just hanging around the lobby area, and it was all sorts of the perfect chill vibe, not too noisy, not too deafeningly silent either!

So, if you are in search of a really comfy lodging house that’s walkable to any of these landmarks: Polaria (an arctic aquarium), The Arctic Cathedral, Fjellheisen Cable Car, The Science Center of Northern Norway, and The Botanical Gardens, you’ll be really happy to find out that the Comfort Hotel Xpress Tromsø transcends that stunning neo-classical architectures around the city. Likewise, still keeping up to its mission to give you the best value for money hotel experience that you can ask for. I cannot wait to be back here!
