Little Island Brewing Co: Singapore’s Brilliant Craft Brewery for every Beer Geek Out There
Little Island Brewing
Co: In The Pursuit of Hoppiness
Fact
is, it is nice living outside the city center. I say this while raising my
glass of local beer care of this beautiful brewing place along the Changi
Village Road known as the Little Island Brewing Co (LIBC). This massive 270
seater, 10,000 square feet microbrewery sits pretty beside this equally
enormous hawker center overlooking the sea. It’s a must see… (see what I did
here? Lol.)
Never
will you find a self-service and
self-pour brewery and eatery like this awesome place. After office hours or
weekend swings would be fit for this beer-place hipster archetype. I managed to
pull some strings and invited some folks to head to this side of Singapore,
which (at first) is quite unbelievable, considering that its way out of the
city center; no one believed that there’s such a cool must-go place like this
LIBC. Several glasses of cult craft beer and some stomach-filling food after,
we burped in agreement that this is a must re-visit place!
Drinks,
beer, food, and promotions. There’s a choice to be made, and a cool one at
that. This place reminds me of this seemingly
dodgy yet totally cool local pub I visited in Villnius, Lithuania a
couple of months back; and I am so glad the vibe, the music, and the crowd here
are all winners. I could not even choose if I wanted to order Pale Ale, Dry Irish Stout, or a Ruby Tuesday. And even the
food, how can you easily choose from the starters like Pork Belly Crispy Cumin Rubbed, or a 15 Hour Smoked Wagyu Beef Brisket?
They have Weekday Set Lunch and Weekend Brunch Menus for you too.
Needless
to say, this little island of awesome called the Little Island Brewing Co should
be in your brewery bucket list, when you visit Singapore. Come on, it’s time to
try Ruby Tuesday this time, yes?
