Train Ride from Vienna to Innsbruck, Austria
A dining table and a dream, that’s where it all started. It was an atypical Friday dine in with our family when we were talking about a Christmas greeting card that was sent to us by our friend from Innsbruck, Austria. We never really had the option to even dream of going to a white-washed whimsical wonderland like the one we saw pictured in the postcard. We only had the privilege to receive such postcards and dream of experiencing snow in the Philippines sometime in the future – whether or not that is possible, that is the ultimate dream.
Fast forward to some forgotten years ago, when I finally moved to Singapore. In a different dining table, I had a daydream. A dream so ridiculous it took me four years to finally turn it into reality. A dream so immense, I often had moments when tears would well up in my eyes, just by thinking of the thought of it. It was a dream of us going to this postcard place in Innsbruck, Austria.
And… we shall continue with the story… for now, let’s relish on the grand and enjoyable train ride from Vienna to Innsbruck in this photo essay. Morning coffee with a spectacular transitionary train view is one of my all time favorite simple yet unbeatable experiences. Yes, I’m looking at you, Switzerland.
