Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is a reminder that Singapore got it right when it comes to having parks all around the city. This particular park offer verdant green spaces to relax, get some much needed afternoon walks, picnic and more. I am a sporadic sprinter and every so often, when I get the time and gusto, I do the needed jogging, walking, or running. Now it seems that this particular residential park seems like a good place to do these healthy activities regularly.

This urban park along Bishan Road and Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 is most obviously built for activities for families to have a fun day out. With its 62 hectares, stretching over 3 km, you can do lots of exercises, workouts, photography activities, and events. In fact, you can even reserve the Adventure Lawns, Grand Lawns and Promenades to have some siesta sessions with big groups – dining, picnicking, or any outdoor activity that does not require fishing. Be sure to explore the Adventure Playground, Lotus Garden, Viewing Point, Naturalized River, and Forest Walk.

You can also find your own quiet space somewhere around this park, even during weekends. You can get away from it all at this particular relaxing and secluded spot in Singapore. Nothing too touristy, too trekker-induced, but more of a park-next-door-all-around-daily favourite kind of park place that you should see.
