Coney Island: Your Next Insta-Worthy Weekend Wandering Escape in Singapore
Coney Island in Singapore
Coney Island is no phoney island.
This newly redeveloped spot in the Punggol area has been generating rave
reviews, ever since it officially opened its gates, just a few months before 2016. Alternatively known as Pulau Serangoon, this 133-hectare island park is
not only rich in activities to do, but it is also opulent with wide varieties
of coastal forests, mangroves, and cycling spaces. As I am officially an upper
(north) east-sider here in Singapore, I got the opportunity to visit this place
one weekend afternoon, and I can only confirm that this place is one good place
for expats looking for a weekend day-get-away.
Aside from the guided walks at Coney Island Park, which are conducted
by N-Parks volunteers, the place is filled with a lot of outdoor options. As it
is connected to the Punggol Promenade Nature Walk, Punggol Point Park, and
Punggol Waterways, the place is conducive for cycling. Spent an entire
afternoon wasting our valued time for some R-&-R : rest & relaxation
via cycling and resting around the coastal walk. Another win-place for
Singapore? To folks who are looking for a much massive park that looks a whole lot
like a forrest, this is your kind of adventure.
