It's that time of the year when our
buddies, specials, and families when we are reminded - where should we go and
enjoy the spirit of Singapore holidays? A lot would
say, spend it outside Singapore, but if you happen to have a rooftop view
access like this one, why would you? It certainly isn’t called Lighthouse for
nothing.
The Lighthouse Restaurant and Rooftop Bar is one of the elite few dining experiences
you can find at this 1928 neoclassical landmark, The
Fullerton Hotel. It’s at the 8th Level of
the hotel, and its concept is likened to an authentic Southern Italian cuisine
with specialties from gastronomy rich regions like Campania, Sardinia, and
Sicily. This iconic bar occupies the precise spot where a beacon used to guide the world’s mariners to the safety of the Singapore port in the eighteenth century. Pretty cool, right?
I’ve been to a handful of rooftop bars across Singapore, but for me, this is one of the best. It offers a view of the city skyline and Marina Bay waterfront from atop The Fullerton Hotel that’s not too migraine-inducing high.
Plus, it’s exactly in front of the Marina Bay Light Show at night, so it’s a good spot to go during sundown until late evening. You can enjoy quality wines and tapas with its relaxing atmospheric setting.
