Germany Travel: When You Visit Germany For The First Time

Germany Travel: When You Visit Germany For The First Time
I imagined our first family Europe trip to be pure tears of ecstasy; you know, the soap opera tears of joy moments. The kind that commands a whole lot of goosebump chasing and asthma-inducing wows. I went overboard and created this picture in my mind’s eye! Haha! From booking tickets bound for EU, to setting foot inside the French borders, everything has been painted out in great detail. It was probably a big abstract painting kind of picture, but even Michelangelo would be proud of it.

Well, our first Europe trip was like a meme - a 9gag kind of playful ordeal! Haha! My parents, as seniors as they are, relished the whole country hopping, backpacking, nonstop walking that Europe is known for. This trip was all sorts of A+: awesome, amusing, absorbing. The perfect picture of “tears of joy” turned out to be uncontrolled laughs and immortalized crow’s feet in real life! We were THAT kind of Asians you’d most probably curiously stare at and smile with.

(So before I go any further with the rest of the travel series, I’d like to recommend to you guys out there who are planning any blockbuster long trip, to try it out with your blood-folks this time around – there’s more to it than meets the eye. It’s different if it’s done in short trips in nearby countries or cities. It will be worth your while! Yes.)
Germany was our first stop in Europe. There are a lot of family-friendly European cities worth visiting and I can recommend Berlin as one of them. The dynamism, forwardness, and sprawling art scene of this city seems to be suitable for first timers and old timers. It’s very free and easy to travel and learn about the culture of Germany through Berlin. Join me as we explore the sights, sounds, smells, and stories of the German way and more.
