Retrolicious 2015 Welcome Dinner Party with Tommy Page, Color Me Badd, and All-4-One
Singapore Celebrates with Tommy Page, Color Me Badd,
and All-4-One
Thanks to Matthew for this exclusive
invite!
Spread the love for music and good
food courtesy of this ultra-exclusive Retrolicious 2015 Welcome Dinner event
last February 6, 2015, at Starker. Organized by the
coolest class of Singapore’s celebrity biosphere: Class 95 FM and Fly Entertainment,
in close collaboration with a little over 50 personalities got invited to join
in this special feast – from local artists, to media representatives, sponsors,
crews, bloggers, friends, and all that. Time
to show how Singaporeans welcome international music celebrities!

A starry night and a starker-y
inspired blowout, the event was held in one of the top beer-bar places in
Singapore, Starker Fresh Beer. The unassertively impressive high end casual bar
place at the Zhongshan Park branch has set the
mood for the event: bricks and wooden fixtures, yellow-lit ambiance, cozy
Friday crowd. The place fits like a charm.

Retrolicious is an annual throwback-oldschool
kind of outdoor music festival that brings back those big acts from the 80s-90s.
This year, Singapore is graced by the presence of three music stars: “I’ll Be
Your Everything” Tommy Page, “All For Love” Color
Me Badd, and “I Swear” All-4-One.

The welcome dinner started off with fizzing energy from the
cream-of-the-Singapore-crop crowd, led by Class 95 TV's Mike Kasem and Joe Augustin. The No.
1 English Radio Station DJs introduced the music icons as they
entered the room one after the other. The room was instantaneously galvanized
with claps and cheers from everyone. It was off to a good start.

It was followed by some chit-chat
and intro pep talk about Singapore culture, and some tossing up food for good fortune:
Lo Hei for good luck. Everyone’s
excited. Up went the chop sticks and so are the cameras and cheers from all in
the room. Indeed, a good luck celebration dinner.

Starker satisfied everyone with
Friday night food fit for a casual yet satisfying dinner. Plus points for
serving their Asia Beer Awards winning beers:
Lager, Aromatic, Dunkel, Charcoal.

All-4-One, Color Me Badd, and
Tommy Page, together with the rest of the djs, like Jeremy Ratnam and Jean Danker,
were more than willing to share the limelight with the rest of the invited
guests; gladly striking a chat with others, taking pictures with everyone else.

Going all undercover photographer kind of night gig, yes. (Almost) rubbing elbows with living music legends… seeing the vocal gods behind the forever-on-repeat song “I Swear”, well… I swear by the moon and the stars in the sky, this is one for the books, that’s for sure.
