out at a rooftop bar of a hotel = a half-baked staycation? In any case, this award-winning boutique hotel has one
of the perfect places in the central area of Singapore that’s not too crowded
and not too commercial. I like big crowds in small spaces, and yes, there are also
days when I don’t mind enjoying a big space with a small crowd.
This is that kind of space and crowd - an obvious
hideout to relax over booze, food, music, and good company. The Halo Rooftop Lounge can most
often be pretty packed with people, but there are days when it subsides into
this cool cosmos of idle. Maybe because it’s being renovated, or maybe because
of something else. But, all that’s left is a few couple of small groups, one
spacious rooftop place, and an interesting angle of Singapore’s city skyline. Weekend is around the corner, see you at Halo?
