Would You
Dare Do This in Bhaktapur? YES, I DARE YOU!
Devotion is relaxation. Where do you devote most of
your time? Is it devoted to quality time? Ocean deep insight I got here? And
did I mention I don’t know how to swim? LOL
Seriously though, for me, devoting my time to enjoy
and learn from travel is my form of devotion to quality time and relaxation.
It’s where I get to discover a lot of things about life as we know it. It’s
when I get to discover a lot of things about relaxation in different cultures
and places.
One of the most recent favorite cities of mine is Kathmandu, Nepal. There’s something quite relaxing about the
crudeness and chaos that can only be found in Third World Asian countries, like
Nepal. My interest started going deep on this city when I visited Bhaktapur – a
place of devotees.
The place is sprawling with locals, looking all
Indian and Chinese at the same time. Nepali people are spellbinding to look at.
They aren’t the typical Asians that you would normally identify with. They’re also
all over the place! Literally. Running the local retail shops, coffee places,
landmarks, and just hanging around and devoting their time in relaxation.
Despite the busy scene in Bhaktapur, the place keeps the locals relaxed and
helps them spend long hours of time just chilling, all carefree, nothing to do
and nothing else matters.
With a local cup of Nepali coffee on one hand, and
a mouthful of stories on the other, we savored every second of our time sitting
around and watching the rest of the world in Bhaktapur go by. It’s one of the
most refreshing relaxation sessions I’ve had for quite some time. A simple kind
of free, as John Mayer would put it. There are so many stories and chapters
that are unfolding right before my eyes just by looking around and seeing the
culture in this place.
Would you dare devote your time in this kind of relaxation?
