Singapore Photo Essay: Moving Out and Moving On - Am I Ready To GO?

Moving Out and Moving On - Am I Ready To GO?
Hey
guys, I’m back from the dead. Internet is finally up too!
Did
a quick and busy hiatus for a few days to focus on moving
out and moving in to a new place here in Singapore. Yep, you read that
right. A few years in, and this is now my 5th place to stay
here. 5 times, wow. Who knows, maybe another 5 more in the next couple of
months? #yolo

There’s a distinct kind of amusement in this kind of endeavor and having this for the 5th time makes it a lot less nerve-wracking. Hostel, hotel, condo, HDB, landed, staying out on the streets LOL, tried it all, and I must say – it’s still IS easy to do this kind of move here in Singapore than elsewhere in Asia. I know a lot may disagree, cos there certainly are some horror stories about these kinds of transitions, I got a few. From scary grandma moments, to weird neighbors, funny kids, I got at least 5 times more than what I can first remember right now. Got any?

Paying
homage to all the unforgotten events that happened in this side of Singapore –
who knows, I might have bumped into you around here, when I was living here?
Here are some pictures of the Pioneer West - old
and end, hello to you.

Whenever locals want to make their place look quaint or hipster, they try to throw in a bicycle somewhere. And it’s not only for display purposes, but they actually use it too! #almostamsterdam

The neighbourhood where I stayed is literally less than a minute from community parks, food centers, and their ultra efficient MRT system. Nice and quiet - like the rest of Singapore.

The daily bread that literally saved my breakfast days. In a hurry and no time for breakfast? A quick stop here did wonders in my life!

One train stop away from our place. The world famous Jurong Point. Famous in my world and in the world of westies!

24 hour food

Arguably the BEST ECON BEEHOON ON THE PLANET. Their queues are as long as the iPhone opening days. Every. Single. Day. Opens 5:30 PM until around 10:00 AM daily. Must try: Bee hoon mixed Magi, seaweed chicken, egg, luncheon meat, and long bean. Add a little bit of chill.

Timecheck: 12:35 AM. Yep, this busy - on a Thursday.
