Inside the Vatican Museums: 35 Powerful Pictures Everyone Should Not Miss

It’s not enough to spend a few days in the Vatican City, let alone spend a day to “quickly” see what it is all about. There’s teeming history and influence here, and to get a glimpse of it may not suffice. But of course not every one of us has the luxury to stay here for as long as we want. That’s why camera and videocams are invented – for these kinds of things, and I sure don’t mind bringing half a kilo worth of gadgets just to capture photos and videos of places like the one in Vatican. #32GBMemoryCards!

Maybe our stay inside the Vatican Museums weren’t enough, it’s something worth coming back for… but, just like any cool-clever Asian traveller, I’d like to think that the mass of magnanimous pictures of the things you can find inside the Vatican Museums are more than enough to bring back good memories! :)

But can you just imagine? There are in fact fourteen museums contained within the Vatican walls. There is just no way possible to visit fourteen museums in one day. Upside of this though, as it turns out that the "museums" in Vatican are more like separate connected rooms, and floors, and areas. It’s quite extraordinary to see the quality and class of the countless paintings, tapestries, and draped-and-fig-leafed sculptures you can find here.

Highlight = staring up the ceiling of the most holy of places inside the museums - the Sistine Chapel.

Jaw-dropping sculptures = yes.

Humbling backdrops = yes.
