Starbucks Christmas Open House in Singapore
Starbucks and Salvation Army Christmas Open House
The best things in life are free,
and this fact is transformed into a much better action by Starbucks in Singapore.
Read this: Free tall-sized Christmas
drink. Rare opportunity cos it’s just for one day and only within a 2 hour time slot, to
be more precise. But yes, it is true. That’s the most unique free spirit you
got here.
Starbucks actually tied up
with the Salvation Army
in Singapore, which is an international charitable organization for soldiers,
officers, and militaries, focusing on volunteering on providing disaster relief
and humanitarian aid to developing countries. Such a noble cause. In
celebration for their 10th year partnership, they are sharing a complimentary
free tall-sized Starbucks Christmas Beverage of one’s choice, across
the entire city. Volunteers get to share a drink and collect donations for the
Salvation Army.
I’d think that the 12 Days of Gifting, Starbucks Christmas Collection, and all the other Christmas-centric ways of Starbucks are just brilliant, then they out-surprise me with yet another brilliant way – to have it executed in the Christmas season, even nobler.
No matter how long the queue can get, you can feel the encouraging Singaporean spirit all over the place: full of joy, generosity, and patience. Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha, Toffee Nut Late, and Peppermint Mocha are the most valued drinks here and you can’t go wrong with any. I’d think I’m in my game face on when with a cup of coffee, and to be part of this kind of coffee advocacy, by just even queuing up, donating a few coins, and maybe even volunteering, just brings new meaning to game face: “over the moon” game face, oh yeah.
Hope this kind of thing can be adopted elsewhere in the world. Starbucks and Salvation Army, you rocked our world today – for free – the best thing in life indeed.
