When in Cambodia: Everything You Need to Believe about the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh

The Cambodian Royal Palace in Phnom Penh

Another awesome tuktuk ride to build the anticipation of being in this Royal Palace. The tuktuk ride will most probably bring you to the riverside area first before you reach the Royal Palace, so be sure to get ready with your cameras and take good pictures. The place also reminds me of Wat Arun, maybe because of the riverside. Observe and you’ll see flocking pigeons and people around the area, with the stunning sunlight around the Phnom Penh city. Nice, really nice. Once you reach the place, first thing you’ll notice are the imposing entrance. For a country such as Cambodia, this is very extravagant... but of course, you have to wait till you see the insides.

Notice how the palace grounds are spacious enough to cover grand gardens and gates. Quite distinct compared to other palaces across Asia. There's a distinct kind of perfection, I would say. One that is raw and rich with religious touches and cultural pride. The staircase is another royal story to tell. Notice the sculpture? White! When you reach the entrance area, the Royal Palace will just take you to a place where only dreams can give you – you’ll see intricate designs, clear structures, red pallets, golden arches – so illustrious. Balcony like area of the Royal Palace, where you can take pictures of the rest of the place: it’s a good vantage point and most people are too busy making awe sounds, so it’s certain that this area is not crowded enough. Another thing will be the museum inside the Royal Palace. You’ll see antique and well preserved emblems of royalty. It’s quite remarkable to see these things here and knowing the tender history of Cambodia makes these even more precious.
