The Lantern Festival in the Chinese Garden, Singapore

The Lantern Festival in the Chinese Garden, Singapore
For a city as multi-cultural as Singapore, there are certainly exciting festivals to look forward to. And this country being predominantly “ancestored” by Chinese, of course their festivals have to be all out festive. One of which is the Lantern Festival at the ChineseGarden. Of course this has to do with the Mooncake Festival, and the best way to learn is to be immersed! Lantern hunt!

Touchdown to this place around evening for the best lantern lights experience. Go all out excited and alight the Chinese Garden MRT to reach this festival. You won’t get lost in the dark as the Tangle-inspired mushroom of lantern lights are all over the place. So surreal! Check them out!

Once you cross over the bridge full of hanging lanterns, there’s no turning back. It’s like your’e in a carnival full of jolly families and flashing cameras. Everyone is so jovial and astonished by the amount of light and colors you’ll see amidst the dark background. Everything pops out with excitement. The Chinese symbols are creatively lit up and represented by these larger-than-life lanterns. You’ll see dragons, fairy tale characters, and ornate designs. Lantern trails everywhere!
Be sure to bring good cameras to capture the grand lights. Be ready for some long leisure walking with constant appreciation for midnight youth laughter! Midnight giddy vibe and lamp light culture readings are the most in here in this place. Otherwise, you can still enjoy and benefit from the food stalls and lantern making stalls being offered. The lantern festival is a must experience as it brings the Mooncake festivity to a higher level of awesome! Be sure to catch the next festival as this seems to be happening every year. Happy Lanterning!
