What Has Been

After perennial adjustments and getting-to-knows, it’s official: Happy 1st birthday, blog! HAHAHAHA. No kidding, would never have thought that this blog will survive a year without being injured by laziness and boredom. Thankfully, the blog camped out long enough to celebrate travel and life (mis)adventures. Now, it has survived the incubation period of every small-time and unheard-of blogs (yes yes, I know it’s still a bona fide small-time and unheard-of blog hahaha)! This blog dared to gain experience and exposure – and.it.sure.did. THANK YOU!

Would have to admit that the first few months of intermittent blog entries and silent viewership were really funny… bordering to hopelessness! (especially the part when there were days when I was the only viewer of this blog) HAHAHAHAH It has endured some high momentspersonal onesrelatable stuffs, and low blows. aaaaahh, those were the days.

But now: with 20,000+ page views from all over the UNIVERSE (!?!?) – from Philippines-- to as down under as Australia --- and to totally somewhere as Estonia, Russia, Brazil – continuing to share personal photos from different places and experiences, and to share interesting life-reads are really worth the time. I’m no pro-traveler and certainly not a pro-writer; but indeed, life is good. Man, all along I thought the maximum number of views would only be 1000!!! AND AND AND half of which would come from me!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Just genuinely humbled and happy to see how this little thing has grown in terms of entry, wanderings, and viewership. THANK YOU!

So what are the “has beens” in terms of travel, experience, and life?

Travel

The year that passed was about homeland adventures. The Philippines is a beautiful country to discover, I tell you. It’s worth the time and adventure. I know it doesn’t make sense because of all the “danger” that the rest of the world is telling about this country; but I am hopeful that in its rightful time, it will bring some sense to the rest of the world. I myself was a skeptic, but last year’s adventures helped me become a fan. The Philippines is my kind of “danger”.

Experience and Life

Changes became so influential last year. Everything about last year was about CHANGES. Big changes, painful changes, expected changes, welcome changes: All I could do was to hold on tight.  Every moment became a chance for me to (re)focus on learning from the changes and experiences.  I held on to DIRECTION and DRIVE with so much intensity and hopefulness that slowly, the god of luck took pity and cut me some slack! HAHAHA It was a great awakening to experience everything that “has been”. Those things became my sources and reasons to continue searching and sharing about learning, experience, and life.

What Will Be

To be honest, I don’t know. Last year’s account taught me a great deal about humility and living life. It’s excellent to dare and chase adventures and learn for life, but: it’s important to be humble enough to let faith and adventure do its own thing. Preparation and drive can go a long way, but the rest is still up to  Mr. Divine Intervention, Mrs. Unknown, and Ms. Risk. All I know now is that I want to continue moving forward – wandering, taking photos, sharing.… and yes, this time more than ever. I am interested to hear a thing. Or two. From ALL OF YOU.
